A Terrible Splendour was formed in the oppressive heat of summer in
the decaying metropolis. The sound is a darkly luxurious synthesized
pop, fractured through the broken lens of a cursed Berlin.
The work of A Terrible Splendour includes songs written and performed by MM Lyle with Martin Block.
After some flamboyant live performances in London, in 2011 the double
A-side single The Russians/Slaves to the City was released on iTunes.
2012 has already seen an appearance on the electro-pop sampler by Ninth
Wave Records and several new songs.
This 6 tracks demo cassette is the first A Terrible Splendour release. Their debut album will be released on desire in 2013.
